The Erasmus University in the Netherlands asked us to write an article on our work and vision. I gladly took the task upon my shoulders and thought I’d share the article here too.

We all love simple things. We love them because we loathe going through a frustrating experience of discovering how something does what it’s supposed to do.

Although we share affection for simple things we rarely realize how hard it is to create something that is perceived as simple.

Innovating marketplaces and why I love it!

Fortunately we cannot be masters at everything; this simple fact drives us to work together and trade what we have mastered.

Trade is beautiful. It has shaped us as human beings and as a society for as long as we can remember. Originally it was a simple barter between two people; an exchange of goods and skills. From that form it evolved into trading with the use of a medium, money, on destined places called ‘shops and markets’.


On a marketplace supply and demand meet each other. Men and woman sitting behind their goods while people are passing by to see if there’s anything they’re interested in buying. The physical marketplace proved to be successful and still remains, although smaller, a place of trade in today’s society. With the rise of the Internet everything changed; including the place where we trade.
